House in Alises iela 5 was put into operation in 1899. Its architect is Edgar Voldemar Frisendorf (Edgars Voldemārs Frīzendorfs), who has designed about 25 houses in Riga, including current ministry of Education and Science in Riga, Valnu iela 2. House in Alises iela 5 is built by rationally simple, but architectonically vivid upright forms of art nouveau.
